Integrating Technology Inside The Classroom
Today we had a special visit, a teacher from Mobile, Al his name was Joe Gaston. He showed us how to use technology during classes and with different subjects like Math, Science and Social Studies. He gave us several examples he uses with his students, he told what to use with our students first of all the four ways were: to show procedures, demonstrate understanding, record memory tricks and flip the classroom.
The advantage of using videos to show students different procedures or explanations is really interesting, and besides students can make their own videos showing what they've learned in class. Its really interesting how he integrates technology in every class he teaches and how he encourage his students to learn using technology. This was a really good experience, I learned a lot and would have done anything to have all this technologies and opportunities back when I was in school.
Estoy de acuerdo, se me hizo muy interesante como Joe Gaston no solamente utiliza la tecnología en su salón de clases sino también motiva a sus alumnos a utilizarla al hacer videos dinámicos, esto en mi opinión ayuda a la integración entre los alumnos y a convivir mas entre ellos mismos, de igual forma les da una mayor motivación a aprender haciendo la clase muy divertida!
ResponderEliminarCelina estoy de acuerdo contigo, en realidad fue muy interesante aprender cómo Mr. Joe Gaston integra la tecnología en su salón de clases para motivar a sus alumnos y hacer el aprendizaje más significativo. También me gustó mucho que haya especificado cómo la tecnología puede ser utilizada de distintas formas dependiendo de la materia, ya sea Ciencias o Matemáticas. En mi opinión, esta fue una clase muy útil y al igual que tu, me hubiera encantado tener a un maestro como Mr. Gaston en primaria, que implementara la tecnología dentro del salón de clases como él lo hace.

ResponderEliminarI'm really glad you enjoyed the class. I wish my teachers had done things like this when I was young as well. That it one of the reasons I was motivated to do it as a teacher - so I could give my students an experience I never had when I was their age. It was a pleasure working with you and your classmates.
